According to an UNEP report, about 385 million cases of non-fatal unintentional pesticide poisonings have been estimated to occur every year, with approximately 11,000 deaths.

In this episode of Vayu Sakhi, we travelled to Hapur, in Uttar Pradesh, and spoke to women from various fields about air pollution and how pesticides are aiding it.These women have started practicing natural farming to combat the use of pesticides, and trying to curb air pollution as much as they could. While the use of pesticides for agriculture is still a common practice, these women are trying to bring a change through their kitchen gardens.
