Each kilowatt-hour (kWh) of solar that is generated will substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions like carbon dioxide as well as other dangerous pollutants such as sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter.

According to data from the US Energy Information Administration, while solar generation has only accounted for 3% of electricity in the US in 2020, it's projected to reach 20% by 2050.

This episode of Off Grid features a startup from the United States, examining the progress of the solar power industry. As the cost of solar energy systems has significantly decreased, more Americans and businesses are adopting clean energy. Aaron Davis, a South Carolina resident and solar power company owner, provides insight into the workings of solar power structures, dispels myths, and presents an optimistic outlook for the industry.
