In this episode of Off-grid, we feature Chioma Ome, Comfort Ubong Akpannah, and Rhoda Richard Mmasi who run a nonprofit organisation, Solar Sister in Nigeria. Solar Sister is a social enterprise that invests in women to power off-grid communities.

In Nigeria, women have been pushing for more inclusion in the energy space.

“We have about 8,000 women entrepreneurs in Nigeria, Tanzania and Kenya. These women come from different strata of society. They are farmers, teachers, businesswomen, single mothers who take care of five to seven childrenâ€_x009d_, says Chioma-Ome, Country Director for Solar Sister, Nigeria.
