Meet Mana Omar, Climate and gender Justice Advocate. She belongs to Kenya’s pastoral community that is currently bearing the brunt of a devastating drought.
“We’ve been experiencing unprecedented weather events like a drought for quite some time now and this has resulted in massive losses in terms of the loss of our lifestyle on which we solely depend on. Our lifestyle means our culture and our traditions,” says Mana Omar.
At COP27, Mana is demanding finance for loss and damage.
