Development of park on 75 acres of forest land in Noida earned the ire of nature enthusiasts
After National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC’s) South Delhi projects for which 16,500 trees were proposed to be chopped, the development of a recreational park on 75 acres of forest land in Noida has earned the ire of nature enthusiasts. While the Noida Authority maintains that the plan was drawn up in 2014 to build amphitheatres, walkways and ponds here — and that there is no illegality involved as per the Noida Master Plan 2031 –concerned citizens feel the woods should not be disturbed at all.
